China conducts military drills around Taiwan Island

On land, by sea and in the air – pictures released by China’s state broadcaster show the extent of military drills around Taiwan.

Beijing – which views Taiwan as a breakaway province of China – is calling the operation a “stern warning” to the island’s government.
